I am an editor and proofreader as well as a self-confessed book addict and author.

I provide line/copy editing and proofreading services, as well as Alpha and Beta reading to provide developmental and character arc feedback.

Proofreading

Proofreading your story is essential as the final step prior to publication.

This checks for spelling, grammar, punctuation and layout issues such as headers and footers, and overall consistency in formatting.

Proofreading does not include any editing.

Line/Copy Editing

Line/copy editing can be a crucial step in providing the finishing touches to your manuscript. This final step ensures that your written word flows as you intended, the right words are chosen to create the intended impact, and ensures clarity for the reader.

It can be very easy to miss small errors or areas for improvement when you become too familiar with your work.

I will provide comments, suggestions and highlight any areas that may need further work and talk with you about these so I understand your vision for your work.

This service provides light to medium editing. For a more intense edit, for example re-wording larger chunks of text, grammar etc an additional charge may be necessary.

A package deal is available for editing and proofreading.
